Rukka
Founded in 1950 by Roger “Rukka” Störling, Rukka began as a small business crafting jogging wear in a farmhouse kitchen in Kokkola, Finland. By 1953, the company introduced seam welding machines and expanded into waterproof rainwear, paving the way for its rise as a leader in weatherproof motorcycling apparel.
In 1966, the brand adopted its founder's nickname, becoming Rukka Products, and later shortened it to Rukka Oy in the 1980s. It was during this time that Rukka embraced motorcycling, producing premium gear tailored to riders.
Since 1990, Rukka has been part of Luhta Sportswear Company, one of Europe’s largest sportswear manufacturers, headquartered in Lahti, Finland. In collaboration with renowned suppliers like Gore and DuPont, Rukka develops advanced materials and conducts rigorous testing to ensure its apparel meets the highest standards of functionality and durability.
